Is the finished book really included?
Yes. Every package includes the physical kit, publishing and one printed copy of their story. Complete Author includes two printed copies in total. Author Plus also includes two if you choose the extra-copy option.
What ages is it for?
The kit is designed for children aged 5–12. The story guide and prompts help them get started; younger writers may enjoy creating their story with a little help from a grown-up.
Do we receive the kit or the book first?
The physical kit arrives first, ready to give as a gift. Your child then writes and illustrates their story. Photograph and upload the completed pages using the kit’s instructions, and we’ll turn them into the finished book and send it separately.
Will their cover look like the ones in the pictures?
The illustrated covers in these examples show our optional digital cover redraw. Your child creates the original drawing, and we give it a fresh illustrated finish. Choose it as your extra with Author Plus, or get it included with Complete Author. The Published Author package uses their own artwork.
What is the digital story bundle?
It’s their ebook plus an audiobook with video pages, together as one extra. Choose the bundle with Author Plus, or enjoy it alongside the cover redraw and extra printed copy with Complete Author.
Is delivery included, and where does it ship from?
Yes, UK delivery is free. The physical kit is shipped from the UK; their finished storybook is sent separately after you upload the completed pages. For current delivery times or Christmas arrival questions, get in touch with Storytime before ordering.
